The Anoka County Radio Club is participating in the ARRL Field Day activities this year. Since we are not helping the BB4 at the festival, we can all enjoy a field day this year right after the BB4 parade is over. The Field Day site is back in from of the soccer fields F1 and F2 at the National Sports Center in the parking lot just off of 105th Ave NE (aka County 87). This event is open to all hams, family members and friends. You do not need to be a ham to work the radios. If past years are any indication, the late night hours between 10pm Saturday and 8am Sunday have very few operators. Setup this year will be on Friday after noon after 1pm. Field Day operations start a 1pm on Saturday and end at 1pm on Sunday. We will be running a 2A site. If you are interested in helping to setup, operate at or just what to know more, please contact Dave Holter at holter@bethel.edu. Rules for this year are available at the ARRL website: Rules.
