George Takei, better known as Star Trek's Capt. Hikaru Sulu, has long been a tireless advocate for social justice. Recently, he made international headlines when he announced he was gay, and that he and his partner, Brad Altman, have been living together for 18 years in Los Angeles.
Mr. Takei is now touring the country on behalf of the Human Rights Campaign — America’s largest civil rights organization working for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality— to talk about the importance of being out and equal.
He also mentioned that his next Star Trek project will be in Star Trek New Voyages
