Over 1000 people Marveled at Mars...

Having coffee with Mars in the early morning sky!
From 4:00 am until dawn on the 27th,. the "I Marveled at Mars....' observing event was the ONLY time that Mars be "slightly" closer to Earth than anytime in recorded history! Never again in your lifetime will the red planet be so spectacular since the next closer approach will not occur for another 300 years!

This event included:

Telescopes
A Mars Mobile featuring exhibits on the red planet and a real meteorite from Mars!
Special "I Marveled at Mars...." certificates
Free coffee & Mars bars from Joe's Garage Restaurant!

Where:
Meet at the corner of Maple and Harmon Place, next to MCTC and Loring Park, near Joe's Garage Restaurant, from 4:00am until dawn.
